Geography, Economy and History of Libya

Libya, in recent months, was most than once in the news but what do we know of the history of the country? The people and their way of life has not been mentioned in these endless news article. Their ancient history, geography of the country and way of life of the people is far more interesting. Hopefully after the change over it will settle down to a better future. 

Most of the people live along the coast where the soil brings high yield. It also has a cooler climate. Most of the country is desert. The economy is very successful because of the oil of which Libya is one of the main suppliers.  Libya could also develope a good tourist industry with its ancient towns and harbours. Hopefully the new government will handle the politics right.
